Emeraude Plage on the island of St. Barthelemy in the French
West Indies is our hospitality partner in the Caribbean.
This grand little seven square mile island is fondly
known as St. Barth and is controlled by France. In
the minds of many, St. Barth it is the "last beacon
of refinement" of simplest luxury in the Americas.
In the Caribbean, St. Barth is known as the island
of beaches, gourmet cuisine and luxury shopping.
What
makes St. Barth so unique? St. Barth is special.
It is unlike any other island in the Caribbean. It
has a very European flavor to it. It is safe.
It is affluent. There is no poverty. There are
no high rises or golf courses. The food is fabulous;
the shopping is chic; the beaches are lined with white sand
and bordered by crystal clear blue water and the islanders
welcome American visitors with open arms. The island
of St. Barth is comprised mostly of villas, small hospitality
establishments and the best cuisine and shopping in the
entire Caribbean. You will have 70 plus French restaurants
to choose from along with 18 of the most beautiful beaches
in the world.
The
most beautiful harbor in all the Caribbean is located in
the only town on the island which is known as Gustavia.
During winter season each year most large yachts
of any importance from around the world will port for a
period of time in the harbor of Gustavia.
The
original culture of Dutch and French still exists today.
St. Barth is a French island where French is spoken.
English is also spoken in the resorts, shops and restaurants.
Language will not be a problem. The best way
to get to St. Barth is to fly to St. Maarten directly from
most major airports in the United States. Once in
St. Maarten, you are a mere 10 - 12 minute flight away from
paradise.
Hotel
Emeraude Plage is located on the renowned Baie de St. Jean,
the bay most centrally located on the island and nearest
to everything one might desire to do each day. The
most beautiful beach restaurants in the world are located
on Baie de St. Jean. Hotel Emeraude Plage has the
largest amount of beach frontage of any hospitality establishment
on all of St. Barth. Most every villa or bungalow
at Emeraude Plage opens directly out to the ocean and most
have ocean views that go directly out from you sleeping
area. The grounds are lush, natural, beautiful and
extremely well maintained. Baie de St. Jean is truly
one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
Hotel
Emeraude Plage is family owned and operated. This
French family continues to put much energy, talent and creativity
into the evolution of Emeraude Plage each year as they have
for the past 25 years. Emeraude Plage is extremely
well managed and is one of the best values on the island.
Hotel Emeraude Plage offers just about every amenity
that one could possibly want.
The
24 duplex bungalows, 2 cottages and 1 two bedroom villa
were all completely renovated in the past two years and
all have kitchenettes. Everything sparkles.
Hotel Emeraude Plage has one of the best locations on the
island and you are within walking distance of many of the
island's favorite restaurants, boutiques, grocery stores
and bakeries.
